Festus MO is a small suburban town only 30 minutes from the big city of St Louis.

If you enjoy the conveniences and amenities of the big city but appreciate the comfort and feel of small town life, Festus Mo may be the place you will want to call home.

Festus boarders Crystal City and many refer to the area as the Twin Cities. Both cities are incorporated separately yet their past is tied together in many ways and even today they both  join efforts in many festivals including Twin City Days and the Christmas Parade.

Festus Mo has seven parks which offer something for everyone to enjoy.  The Bird Sanctuary in Sunset Park is complimented by the 100 year old Maple and Oak trees and the stone arch bridge (which has been the backdrop of many wedding photos). West City Park has a sports complex which include regulation size ball fields, electronic scoreboards and field lighting,  If you enjoy fishing check out the three-acre lake or maybe you like a little more physical activity, check out  the 1.5 mile bicycle trail.  The Jokerst Memorial Park has 6 Pickleball Courts and all the parks have playground equipment and many have basketball and tennis courts.

The Movie Theater is a popular evening destination after a nice dinner at one of the local owned specialty restaurants.


Festus has two public schools districts The Festus R-6 Tigers and the R-7 Blue Jays there is also the many options for private schooling including Our Lady’s Elementary Catholic School, St Pius X Catholic High School and the Twin City Christian Academy


66% of adults own their homes, which means there is plenty of opportunity if you are interested in rental property because Festus has a shortage of housing for those wanting to rent.  The home in the Festus are hold their values, so if you purchase


As for restaurants, locals enjoy fine dining at Petit Paree , and for a more relaxed setting the Jambalaya at Taytro’s Bar & Bistro is excellent,  La Pachanga is great Mexican and Pogolinoes is thought to be one of the greatest pizza joints in the area. If you have something else in mind never fear, what Festus does not have is just a short drive away.
