The very first home located in Willow Springs was built in the year 1867 and was known as the James Harris house. James Harris went on to build the very 1st store in this town. The date March 29, 1869 is the same date that the post office in Willow Springs was established. The town still uses this date to celebrate the towns “birthday.”
